RESPONSABILITIES:  Under the supervision of the Integrated Mission Training Centre Officer, the incumbent will:

  • Assist with and contribute to the design, development, delivery and evaluation of training and development programmes;
  • Work with senior section staff to identify forthcoming training requirements and contribute to the development of strategies to meet these;
  • Contribute to design, organize and deliver training programmes upgrading technical skills of staff;
  • Design specific training programmes to meet unique mission operational requirements and staff development needs and develop systems and methods for disseminating information to mission personnel on training and staff development opportunities, including distance-learning, self-study, and other sources of learning;
  • Develop systems and methods for disseminating information to mission personnel on training and staff development opportunities, including distance-learning, self-study, and other sources of learning;
  • Ensure the collecting and maintenance of statistical data on training activities and respond to queries and request for information on training programs;
  • Ensure the timely preparation of routine and ad hoc outputs and oversee the provision of effective monitoring reports and data;
  • Assists in the preparation of training rooms and materials for training sessions rolling out purposes;
  • Assists in providing timely IMTC technical and administrative support by preparing needed materials for LPE, G to P and YPP examinations;
  • Assists in the preparation of language training materials and updates its database.

QUALIFICATION:

  1. Education: High School or equivalent diploma.
  2. Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years of work experience within training/education field or other related fields. Experience with UN is an advantage.
  3. Languages: Fluency in oral and written English and French is required.
  4. Other Skills: Knowledge of UN staff Rules, Regulations, and policies are required. Candidate should have ability to work productively under pressure and cope with deadlines. Valid Congolese driving permit
