Purpose of Job:
To cost effectively operate and maintain the equipment and data under his control in such a manner that good quality IT services are consistently rendered.
Qualifications:
Matric/Diploma
N+
A+
/Windows Administrator (MCSE)
Network Management Courses
ITIL Foundation V3 Certification
Virtualisation certification
Experience:
4 years in Desktop Support
3 Years in Network Operating Systems
3 Years in networking topologies and hardware
2 Years exposure to IT Project Management
Special Requirements:
Standby duties
Key Outputs:
Execute the tactical plan to achieve the IT Infrastructure strategy that supports the PPC business strategy at all times relevant to site deliverables.
Manage and mentor the site users.
Ensure ‘Site LAN/WAN operational excellence’ for users
Assist Service Delivery Manager with IT projects so that delivery is on time and within budget ,and that user satisfaction is achieved.
Support and promote good governance.IN cluding Software site legality.
Assist Adminastration Manager in the preparation and bugdgeting of capital expenditure, by maintaining the approved replacement plan(s).
Liaise with relevant external suppliers.
Enforce hardware and software standards
Ensure the disaster recovery plan is feasible, operational, tested and approved by the IS services manager.
Manage and ensure cost effictive and efficient systems wrt voice communication.
Maintaining correct backup procudure
Ensure IT Minimum Standards are implemented and adhered to
