  1. A.       CONTEXT

The SODEICO, a company specializing in recruitment and outsourcing qualified personnel recruitsfor a Milling “Engineer-Electrical “He must be a dynamic, proactive and ambitious individual capable of meeting the challenges and achieves predefined objectives.

  1. B.  ORGANIZATIONAL POSITION

This person will be placed under the authority of the Engineering Manager.

  1. C.  JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

He/She will be in charge of to :

  • Ensure that the workforce is safety competent and all relevant training is available and attended as required to ensure safe productivity;
  • Ensure the workforce is aware of safety and passionate about their own safety as well as that of others to enhance safe working conditions;
  • Ensure that staff acknowledge and apply all relevant procedures and follow the  Frontier ‘Safe production Rules”;
  • Drive preventative maintenance to ensure safe, economic target availabilities of all plant under your care and maintenance. Manage and control Maintenance Management programmes to optimize output;
  • Drive and improve on KPI’s for all maintenance aspects of the operation under your control;
  • Apply PM principles to projects within your department in order to achieve set results;
  • Ensure engineering safety programmes, including safety meetings and communications are executed  to ensure compliance at all times;
  • Ensure adherence to statutory safety regulations and mine standards, procedures and practices such as PPE, safe working practices,  etc. and ensure remedial actions are implemented timely to address non-conformances;
  • Where required, participate in accident / incident investigations compile and submit required reports;
  • Conduct risk assessments in area of responsibility and take remedial action where required to ensure HSEC compliance at all times;
  • Plan, set and manage the KPI’s of your subordinates in order to achieve the relevant departmental safety, financial, production and maintenance goals. Transfer of both supervisory and technical knowledge and skills through “on the job training” as well as nomination of subordinates for “structured learning” in order to facilitate promotional opurtunities an career paths for your subordinates.

  1. E.  QUALIFICATIONSAND EXPERIENCEREQUIRED
    Trade test certificate in an Electrical engineering;

-        Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering Excelent computer literacy;

-        15 years supervisory experience in heavy plant engineering with HT, MV & LV, HT switching, Transformers, Overhead lines, up to 3.3KV VSD’s (plus smaller), 11KV motors and drives, simocode, computer, PLC .

  1. LANGUAGES
    -Speak and write fluent French and English
  1. COMPUTERS
    -Excellent command ofcomputer skills (Word, Excel and Internet).
