Sodeico : Boiler Maker Supervisor

1. 1.    BACKGROUND

1. 2.    ORGANIZATIONAL POSITION

The Forman Boilermaker  will be placed under the authority of the Foreman Boiler maker and work in synergy with a team of several colleagues.

1. 3.    TASKS AND RESPONSABILITY

The Forman Boilermaker will perform the following tasks :

-       Ensure he/she and his/her subordinates adhere to statutory safety regulations and mine standards, procedures and practices such as PPE, safe working practices, re-entering periods, isolation, etc.

-       Promote adherence to safety, health and environmental practices and procedures. Identify and address unsafe and potential hazardous situations.

-       repair and maintain steel installations and structures

-       Must be capable of forming pipes/Y pieces/bends and flanges. And the installation of liners and plates.

-       Perform root cause analysis to address asset performance problems and or reduce cost.

-       Must  be capable of reading a Fabrication drawing in order to fabricate new pieces for installation

-       Conduct on the job training of subordinates as and when required. Must be capable of leading a team and conducting over inspections

-       Execute work against issued work order in a timely and accurate manner.

-       Complete work orders and return to supervisor for sign off.

-       Ensure good housekeeping standards by keeping work area clean at all times.

1. 5.    QUALIFICATIONS ET EXPERIENCES REQUIRED

-          Graduat degree in ingineering.

-          3 years Practical experience in a Processing Plant   Read/ interpret fabrication drawings.

-          Knowledge of the Congolese labor market(fluidity, recruitment period, purveyors business skills etc) and the university system (secondary schools, professional schools, High schools and Universities)

-          Knowledge of HR processes.

-          Excellent writing skills in French and English.

1. 6.    LANGUAGES

-          Fluent in french

-          Good knowledge of written and spoken English

-          Knowledge of at least one Congolese national language

-          Computer literacy
