Contexte: This is an opportunity to work for an international organization. Responsible to maintain for the safe and effective ground movement on aircraft towing, including the supervision of safe start-up procedures. Perform towing operations within the safety requirements of the Statement of QAS SOP and IATA Regulations.
Poste et missions
The Aircraft Towing Operator will be in charge of the following issues:
-Perform towing task as per directive of duty supervisor.
-Conduct operational inspection of tow tractor and tow bar before every use.
-Position / Connect the tow bar properly as per QAS Towing SOP to the tow tractor and aircraft.
-Contact with the aircraft Head set man (MCC Team) at all time before any equipment is to be connected and that the appropriate tow tractor and tow bar is used for the type and weight aircraft.
-Strategically place as to observe, control and direct the towing operations being in visual contact with the aircraft Head set man (MCC Team) and wing/tail walkers.
-Perform manoeuvring aircraft inside/outside hangar. Monitor the tow truck if any engine start up as per directive of Airline Technical Engineering Team.
-Maintain cleanliness of Towing Tractor at all time.
-Prepare the towing truck 20 minutes before towing schedule.
-Monitor radio communication towing request directive by the duty supervisor/officer.
-Monitor ATC radio communication especially during towing aircraft.
-Comply the QAS Towing SOP at all times and Safety regulation as per QAS, DIA and IATA Safety Standards.
-Conduct a pushback task as if necessary as per operation requirement.
Profil et compétences requises
The successful candidate will ideally have:
-Airside Driving Awareness
-Civilian Heavy Truck License
-Aircraft Push back and Towing
-Tug Driver Operator License from IATA
-ATC Radio Transmission
-Communication License
4.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
-Airside Safety Training from IATA
-certified Institution
-Minimum 5 years experience as Equipment Operator in an international airport
-Excellent command of English and proficient in French (written and spoken).
